Fiji can expect an influx of visitors if the government gives the green light to America based airline company Continental Micronesia to provide nonstop twice weekly services between Fiji and the ports of Honolulu and Guam.
Tourism Fiji Chairman Patrick Wong said if given the go-ahead, it would also cover the inbound passenger loss, after Air Pacific cancelled its flights to Japan.
Talks are now underway between the Department of Civil Aviation and Continental Micronesia to provide services to Fiji.
