Two Fiji school boys, Solomoni Loki of Lelean Memorial School and Dylan Wolfgram of Suva Grammar School have been chosen to compete in next month's Australian Rules Football Championship.

Loki and Wolfgram will represent Fiji in a seven-nation South Pacific Squad.

Other members of the squad include boys from New Zealand, Tonga, Samoa, Nauru, Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.

Loki and Wolfgram made the South Pacific squad from a list of six who initially caught the eye of AFL visiting selectors during last December's inaugural Under-16 Oceania Cup.

Tournament organiser, Andrew Cadzow said that if the boys are good enough to make the best 32 players of the tournament, they have an opportunity to be selected for a two-year Australian Institute of Sports scholarship, with a pathway into an AFL club playing at top level.

The championship will be held in Sydney and will see matches played between the South Pacific and a World XVII, as well as against Australian state teams.
