Two Fiji born players will be in action for the Taranaki 7s side in tomorrow’s National 7s tournament in New Zealand.

These two are Former Lelean Memorial Schools under 19 centre Setareki Tamanivalu and current All Blacks 7s squad member Waisake Naholo.

Tamanivalu and Naholo are both being eyed by All Blacks 7s coach Sir Gordon Tietjens for a spot in the All Blacks 7s team.

Tamanivalu has already played under the watchful eyes of Sir Tietjens when he was a member of the shadow All Blacks 7s team for the Uprising 7s tournament last year.

Meanwhile, Tietjens has also hinted that some of his players will not be available for the tournament as they need to prepare for the next two legs in Las Vegas and Wellington.

Tietjens is also expected to name his team for the next leg of the IRB World 7s series next week.

New Zealand is in the pool of death with Fiji, Australia and Scotland for the USA 7s which will be held from the 25th to the 27th of this month.
