The Vodafone Fiji 7s team has just beaten France 26-5 in their second pool game of the New Zealand 7s.

Fiji scored early in the first half with a runaway try from Samisoni Viriviri after a good passage of play while Viliame Mata showed his class after committing two defenders and offloaded to Lepani Botia for their second try.

France came back late in the first half to score a try as the two teams went into the breather with Fiji leading 12-5.

However, Fiji regrouped their defence in the second half as France tried desperately to get back into the match.

Samisoni Viriviri continued his fine performance scoring his second try while Benito Masilevu dazzled through the French defence to score their final try.

Fiji's last pool match is against Spain at 7.28pm

Meanwhile Fiji earlier beat New Zealand 12-7 in their first pool match.
