Fiji bagged two bronze medals last night in the swimming competition at the Pacific games.

Tieri Erasito managed to grab a bronze in the Women’s freestyle 800m while William Clark, Carl Probert, Douglas Miller and Paul Ilaisa also won a bronze in the Men’s 4x1 freestyle relay.

After day two of competition in New Caledonia, Fiji has won three bronze medals.

In the 3rd day of competition, the shooting finals start at 9 this morning.

A total of four gold medals are at stake for Fiji in the Va’a competition today with the Men’s 1,500 meters final starting at 10.15am.

The swimming finals resume at 7pm tonight with the Women’s 200 meters freestyle.

A total of seven gold medals are at stake tonight in swimming.

Meanwhile, at 11am the Fiji soccer team will take on Kiribati in its second pool match.

Fiji soccer coach, Gurjeet Singh while speaking to Fijivillage from New Caledonia said his strikers need to score more goals than what they did against Tahiti.
