Fiji athletes have produced some good results on the second day of the Oceania Grand Prix meet in Australia.

Makelesi Bulikiobo won the 400 meters final in a time of 53.66 seconds ahead of team-mate Paulini Korowaqa who finished second.

But Bulikiobo lost in the 200 meters heats to Papua New Guinea's Mae Koime, who broke her country's national record with a time of 23.71 seconds.

Former Suva Grammar school sprinter, Iliesa Namosi-malua won the men's 400 meters final in a time of 47.30 seconds beating Niko Verekauta who finished in second place.

In the field event Fiji's Sala-niqiqi Soko won the women's Long Jump while Eugene Vollmer took out the men's Triple Jump.
