Fiji athletes performed well but failed to win any medals at the Oceania Under 18 championships in Australia.

Secondary Schools sprint king Banuve Tabakaucoro finished 5th in the Boys Under 20 100 metres finals.

He finished his race in a time of 10.96 seconds.

Nadarivatu's Sereima Liku who is the top bet to win the long distance events in the Coca Cola Games this year, was placed 10th in the Girls 1500 metres finals with a time of 5:03:71 seconds.

Adi Cakobau School's Elenoa Sailosi finished in 7th place with a time of 13.20 seconds in the Girls Under 18 100 metres heats and Saint Joseph's Sisilia Seavula finished in 6th place with a time of 12.88 seconds.

Athletics Fiji coach Albert Miller who was pleased with their performance, said they competed against some of the top and upcoming athletes from Australia and New Zealand.
