The Vodafone Fiji 7s team that won gold in the Rio Olympics, coach Ben Ryan and captain Osea Kolinisau are aiming to create history when the World Rugby Awards are announced in the next hour.
Fiji has been nominated in three categories in the 2016 World Rugby Awards.
The three categories are World Rugby Team of Year, World Rugby Coach of the Year and World Rugby Sevens Player of the Year.
The Fiji 7s team has been nominated for the World Rugby Team of the Year Award with England and the All Blacks.
Olympic Gold Medal winning coach, Ben Ryan has been nominated for the World Rugby Coach of the Year Award alongside All Blacks coach Steve Hansen and England coach, Eddie Jones.
Fiji 7s captain Osea Kolinisau has been short listed for the World Rugby 7s Player of the Year Award.
France 7s player Virimi Vakatawa and Seabelo Senatla have also been nominated for the World Rugby 7s Player of the Year Award.
Ben Ryan and Osea Kolinisau are attending the awards ceremony in London.
Two All Blacks players, Anton Lienert‑Brown and Ardie Savea have been short listed for the World Rugby Breakthrough Player of the Year Award.
