20 year old Seruseini Vulavou, the girl who escaped New Zealand's immigration ban, has come out saying that people should not be judged on who they are related to when their visa applications are considered.

Vulavou, a youth representative, managed to get into NZ to address a youth parliament in Wellington even though she is the daughter of a sergeant in the RFMF.

Vulavou said the New Zealand government should look at visas on a case by case basis and see whether the reasons for travelling to NZ is genuine enough.
