The Women’s team defeated New Caledonia 54-48 in the quarterfinal last night in Guam. They will now meet Australia in the semifinal today, who are favourites to win the title in both divisions.
Fiji women’s side may find it tough in beating the Australians but stand a very good chance of winning the bronze medal tomorrow.
Meanwhile, the Men’s team were beaten 57-69 by New Caledonia in last night's quarterfinal and will now meet Papua New Guinea today to decide which team will feature for the 5th / 6th place playoff.
