The Fiji Women's Basketball team has stepped into the big league!
After attaining third place at the Oceania Women's Championship in New Zealand in September - the team will now take part in the
Pre-Olympic competition to be held in Spain in June.
Speaking to Legend FM sports, team coach Michael Whippy says he will use the warm-up matches with the New Zealand team next month to name his team to Spain.
Fiji is in a tough preliminary pool at the Pre-Olympics and will meet up with Spain and Brazil, two teams everyone expects ending up in Beijing.
