The Fiji womens 7's team has booked a gold medal play-off match against Samoa in the Pacific Games tomorrow.

Fiji defeated New Caledonia 55-7 then thumped Guam 71-0 before ending with a 43-0 win against Tahiti.

Also booking a place in the quarterfinal is the men's team after defeating Tahiti 45-0.

Meanwhile Fiji thrashed Tokelau 77-0 in their last pool game this afternoon and has qualified for the semi-final stages

The Fiji Men's Basketball team will be out to maintain their winning streak against PNG at 8pm to keep their gold defence campaign on track.

The latest medal tally has Fiji in 3rd spot with 7 gold, 4 silver and 13 bronze.

New Caledonia remains in the lead with 28 gold, 27 silver and 5 bronze medals.

Tahiti follows in second place with 14 gold, 5 silver and 7 bronze medals.
