The Fiji Women's Rugby Association is in negotiation with the International Rugby Board to hold the Women's Rugby World Cup 7s qualifier matches in Fiji.
President Vela Naucukidi said that they hope to host the event this year and that they can also qualify for the World Cup.
Naucukidi added that they have played against the two best sides in the World, New Zealand and Australia and that they know what is expected in the international arena.
Meanwhile, the 4 women's team for the Uprising Fiji International 7's have been confirmed.
The sides include Tomasi Cama's Chinese team, Sea Hawks, Western Flyers and a Fijiana Development team.
The Fijiana development team will be coached by Sale Sorovaki.
The Uprising Fiji International 7's will be held at the TFL Stadium next Friday.
