Fiji Water has secured the naming rights for the upcoming FRU’s centennial 7s tournament.

The tournament will now be called the Fiji Water Centennial International 7s which will be held at the ANZ Stadium on the 4th and 5th of October.

Fiji Water CEO Rokoseru Nabalarua said this is their biggest ever sports sponsorship in Fiji but he will not reveal the monetary value.

FRU Chairman Filimoni Waqabaca said this sponsorship can be an eye opener for others.

Waqabaca added that there is no legal implication as Aquasafe is the official bottled water provider for FRU because this is a one off sponsorship.

16 teams will take part in the tournament which includes Argentina, France, Kenya, Samoa, USA, Australia, and Tonga.

Meanwhile, South Africa has pulled out of the tournament due to financial constraints.
