The Telecom Fiji Warriors will be out to deliver a strong performance for the late Iosefo Bele in the final of the World Rugby Pacific Challenge.
The Fiji Warriors will take on the Argentina Pampas in the final of the Pacific Challenge at the ANZ Stadium at 5pm today.
Warriors tight head prop Iosefo Bele Tabalala passed away on Saturday morning at the Southern Cross hotel in Suva.
The Fiji Rugby Union said 32-year-old Tabalala failed to wake up.
According to the FRU statement, Tabalala’s roommate and the medical team tried all efforts to revive him while waiting for emergency services.
Iosefo Bele Tabalala who is also his namesake and uncle said they are still trying to come to terms with his death.
He said his namesake was also focused on doing his best for the sport.
While official medical results are yet to be released, the family has informed FIjivillage that Iosefo previously had a heart condition.
In other matches, Tonga A will face Junior Japan in the fifth and sixth place playoffs while Canada A will meet Samoa A in the third and fourth place playoff.
