The Fiji Warriors kept their chances of retaining the Pacific Rugby Cup alive with a well earned 23-12 win against Samoa A this afternoon at Churchill Park in Lautoka.

Fiji scored two tries to Macuata winger Apisalome Waqatabu with the other points coming from the boot’s of full-back Dan Rawaqa.

Samoa replied from the boot of fly half Roger Warren who kicked four penalties.

The win has moved the Warriors to lead with 17 points and Samoa at second place on 14 points after they failed to score a bonus point.

Samoa’s hopes of winning the PRC from Fiji will depend on the outcome of their game against Tonga A on Friday.
