The TFL Fiji Warriors side will leave tomorrow to defend their Pacific Rugby Cup title without one of the players who lost his son last night.

Team Manager Joe Browne said that it was unfortunate to have a case as such and the team feels for the player’s family.

Browne said the player whose name was not revealed will join the side next week after the funeral.

Browne added that every team will be tough but the key lies in the basics.

Head Coach Lance Whippy said with the young new players it will be interesting how things will turn out at the end of the tournament.

The Warriors leave Fiji tomorrow for Australia and will play the Queensland Reds A on Sunday.

FRU confirms that they are officially known as the TFL Fiji Warriors.
