The Telecom Fiji Warriors have lost their first World Rugby Pacific Challenge match to the Argentina Pampas by 22-20 at the ANZ Stadium yesterday.

A red card to Warriors halfback Samu Laqai following the yellow cards to captain Nemani Nagusa and flanker Aminiasi Nava cost the home side the game as the Pampas capitalized on their scrum and lineouts to score two tries.

Laqai was sent off the field after been involved in a fight with the Pampas outside center Matias Moroni five minutes before half time.

He will be appearing before the World Rugby Judiciary at 3.30pm today.

Meanwhile, captain Nagusa was also involved in the fight while flanker Aminiasi Nava was sent off for an infringement in the ruck.

The Warriors scored through Aminiasi Nava while fullback Isoa Donaldson scored a total of 15 points with a try and two penalties.

Nagusa admitted that discipline had cost them the game.

Vodafone Flying Fijians coach John McKee said that discipline will be their main area of focus before the game this weekend.

The Warriors will now face Junior Japan at 3pm Saturday.

Looking at the other results in round one of World Rugby Pacific Challenge, Canada A thrashed Junior Japan 69-17 while Samoa A edged Tonga A 30-28.
