The Fiji under-19 rugby team thumped Tahiti 15 tries to nil this afternoon and managed a 99-3 score line in their second match of the FORU Tournament that was held in Nadi today.

Fiji under-19 winger Ilaitia Leka scored four tries for Fiji, Sakiusa Malai and Eroni Ravaga each contributing two tries while the rest came from their team mates.

Fiji coach Iosefo Bele said the boys learnt a lot from the mistakes they made in the first game against Samoa and executed that well and will use today's performance as a build-up to their final match against Tonga next week.

Bele added he also tried out players in other positions other than the ones they specialize in and feels it worked well for them.

In other matches held today, PNG thumped Vanuatu 47-0 and Tonga edged Samoa 13-10.

Competition continues on Tuesday where Fiji meets Tonga, Samoa take on PNG and Vanuatu meet Tahiti.
