The Fiji Under-23 soccer team is just a step away from creating history by qualifying for the London Olympics in June.

Fiji will play New Zealand in the final of the OFC Olympic qualifiers on Sunday.

Earlier this afternoon, Fiji defeated Papua New Guinea 3-0 in the semi-final where Captain Esava Naqeleca scored twice and Zibraaz Sahib scoring the third goal.

In another semi-final New Zealand defeated Vanuatu 3-2.

This is an impressive performance by our Under-23 team but the question remains, can we beat New Zealand.

Four years ago, Fiji had also qualified for the final but was defeated by New Zealand in the final.

Speaking from Taupo New Zealand, Fiji team captain, Esava Naqeleca said the hosts can be beaten.

Naqeleca who also became the highest goal scorer so far said its time for revenge now.
