National Soccer Coaching Director, Carlos Buzzetti said the Fiji Under-20 soccer players now need to play against professional footballers to get a feel of the international competition.
Buzzetti said he is impressed with players like Kolinio Sivoki, Jale Dreloa, Nikhil Chand, Antonio Tuivuna and Mataiasi Toma who played for Suva and Nadi in the Vodafone Fiji Fact.
However, Buzzetti said these players now need to go and play outside Oceania and he is now waiting for the Fiji Football Association Board to make necessary arrangements.
The Fiji Football Association had said earlier that the Vodafone Fiji Under-20 soccer team will be undertaking a number of overseas tours over the next 12 months as part of their preparations for the 2015 FIFA U20 World Cup in New Zealand.
Fiji is the first team to qualify for the tournament alongside hosts New Zealand.
The Oceania Football Confederation staged its qualifying tournament early to give the winner one year to prepare for the World Cup.
