The Vodafone Fiji Under 20 soccer side is now only two games away from qualifying for the FIFA Under 20 World Cup after they beat Papua New Guinea 3-nil in the OFC Under 20 Championship.
Altaaf Sahib headed the first goal for Fiji in the 43rd minute of the first half.
Mataisi Toma and Saula Waqa Junior scored for Fiji in the second half.
Fiji is now leading the standing with 9 points followed by Vanuatu with 4 points.
Fiji will face the Vanuatu at 5pm Thursday and then take on Solomon Islands at 7.30pm Saturday.
