The Fiji under 20 soccer side has been given a tough start for the Oceania Under 20 soccer championship that will be held in Tahiti next month.

Fiji will play their opening match against New Zealand, who they lost to in last year's playoffs. Then they will face New Caledonia before facing hosts Tahiti in their final match.

The Carlos Buzetti coached side will have to make a good start against New Zealand to have any chance of earning a spot at the Fifa under 20 World Cup in Egypt in 2009.

The top team in the four team tournament will automatically qualify for the Under 20 world Cup. The Oceania under 20 championship will kick off on 13th December.
