The Fiji Under 18 rugby team will have the rare honour of sharing with the Australian Schoolboys the international stage when the Wallabies meet the All Blacks at ANZ Stadium in Sydney next Saturday in the Tri Nations and Bledisloe Test match.

Australian Rugby Union has confirmed the Australian Schoolboys will play a Test against the Fiji school team as the curtain raiser to the trans-Tasman blockbuster next Saturday.

Only once before have the Australian Schoolboys team played at the same venue on the same night as the senior national team, back in 2008 when they also took on Fiji in the countdown to a Bledisloe Cup Test at Suncorp Stadium.

The Fiji Under 18 team started off their campaign in Australia on a high note after beating the NSW Combined Schools team 53-10 yesterday.

The Samisoni Baikeitoga coached side ran in a total of eight tries in their opening match.

Fiji held a 17 0 lead at halftime and further extended the score line in the second half running in six more tries which saw the final score read 53-10.

Their next game is this Saturday where they will take on the Australia A Schools team before meeting the NSW Combined Catholic Colleges next Wednesday and the Test match next Saturday.
