The Fiji Under-17 soccer team started its New Zealand tour on a high after the team beat New Zealand Lautoka side 4-nil last night.

Fiji outclassed the hosts with an impressive performance which has laid down a solid platform for the OFC Under 17 playoffs.

Fiji's goals were scored by Shoeb Shiek, Altaf Sahib and Akram Ali.

In its next warm up match, Fiji will play Papakura United this Sunday.

The OFC Under 17 playoffs kicks off on the 8th of next month and Fiji plays its first match against American Samoa.

The overall winner of the OFC U-17 playoffs will earn a spot in the 2011 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Mexico.
