A United Kingdom based yacht industrialist has recommended Fiji as one of the world's top destinations for cruising yachts.
In a press statement, Director Blue Water Rallies Limited Peter Seymour said Fiji should now target 1000 foreign yachts visiting Fiji in the coming years and seeks government's help in the industry.
Stopping over in Savusavu for ten days, Seymour said the rally participants were pleased with the friendly atmosphere and the hospitality of the locals.
Savusavu Yacht Club Manager Gopendra Narayan said the rally had given locals an opportunity to invest in the town.
500 foreign yachts have visited Fiji so far and the rally will be back to Fiji in two years time.
