Fiji Through to Quarters
The Marika Vunibaka led side scored one of the fastest tries of the tournament to 20 year old Tomasi Mawi in the 30 seconds of the first half for Fiji to lead 7-0.
France bounced back with a try for the score-line to read 7-5 before Timoci Matanavou scored the second try for a 14-5 lead.
Lepani Nabuliwaqa scored a 3rd try at half-time after replacing Tomasi Mawi who was injured and Fiji lead 19-5.
Nabuliwaqa increased Fiji's lead to 26-5 in the second half with his second try before William Ryder showed his form for the 5th try and Fiji to win 33-12.
In Fiji's opening pool game, they beat England 31-12 and will now face Kenya in their last pool game at 8.34pm.
The Fiji verse Kenya game will determine who will come out as pool winner in group D.
In other results Kenya beat France 19-12, New Zealand edge Argentina 21-14, Scotland 22-Cook Islands 17, Samoa 28-Wales 17, Tonga 53-Japan 0, South Africa 43-USA 0, Australia 21-Canada 14, Kenya upset England 17-10.
