Digicel Fiji 7's Coach Waisale Serevi has confirmed that the National Team will be taking part in the BP 7's Series this weekend as the Fiji Barbarians.
Serevi said that after a meeting with FRU late yesterday, he was advised that his training squad will not join individual province or clubs but play as one team.
Meanwhile, Serevi also confirmed that Prison officer Setefano Cakau has been dropped from the squad for the second leg of the IRB 7's Series in Wellington and San Diego.
National Coaching Director Ilivasi Tabua said that once Cakau is cleared off allegations that he was part of a group of prison officers who are linked with the death of Josefa Baleiloa, he will be re-considered in the 7's squad.
The BP 7's will be held at Churchill Park in Lautoka this Saturday after which the National team to Wellington and San Diego will be announced.
