It has been revealed that Fiji Television is the complainant in the 68 charges of theft laid against owner and CEO of Samoa's defunct LAUTV, Tuiasau Petaia.

Fiji TV has confirmed this.

According to Radio New Zealand the courts in Samoa last week granted the defense lawyers request of an adjournment to allow time for police to submit all charges to him.

The court sits tomorrow and Tuiasau has been remanded on bail.

The alleged offenses cover the period from September last year to April this year.

Radio New Zealand reports that Tuiasau is a former CEO of the state owned television station and former editor of the Samoa Observer and now defunct Samoa Times while he was also the vice president of the Pacific Islands News Association.
