The Fiji Sports Council said it will manage the operational costs with the FRU incurred for rugby matches but the council has not reduced its 25% share of the gate-takings from local rugby competitions.

CEO Litiana Loabuka said they had a meeting with Nadroga Rugby Union and Fiji Rugby Union yesterday where Fiji Sports Council agreed on managing its operational costs.

According to Loabuka these operational costs vary.

Nadroga Rugby Spokesperson, Tiko Matawalu said that the Fiji Sports Council has confirmed that they will only take the 25% of the total gate takings compared to the past where the council was taking more due to additional costs.
