The Fiji soccer team recorded their first win in the World Cup qualifying round yesterday at Govind Park beating Vanuatu 2 goals to nil.
NZ based Salesh Kumar scored in the 7th minute of the first half and the second goal came from Maciu Dunadamu just minutes before the match ended.
The win was not enough to book Fiji a place in the World Cup as New Zealand have book a spot after beating New Caledonia 3-1 yesterday.
