The Fiji soccer team has gone one place up in the latest world soccer rankings, released by Fifa today.

They are now ranked 105 in the world, previously Fiji were on 106.

Fiji's ranking was boosted after they defeated New Zealand All Whites 2-0 in a World Cup qualifying round in November last year.

Fiji FA Chief Executive Bob Kumar said their aim by next year is to be ranked in the top 100.

Meanwhile in Friendly International games this morning, Argentina defeated France 2-0, Spain beat England 2-0, Australia/Japan played to a nil-all draw and Norway upset Germany with a 1-0 win.
