The Fiji Soccer Team has dropped to 148th place in the latest World Soccer Rankings, released by Fifa.

This is the worst ever rankings for Fiji, who have not played in any International game lately.

Fiji's next International match will be in September against Vanuatu for the 2010 World Cup qualifier, although they are out of contention now.

Meanwhile, the newly-crowned European champions Spain, are on top of the world soccer rankings for the first time since they were introduced in 1992.

Spain take over at number one from Argentina, who have tumbled to 6th place after a disappointing month, while Italy remain at number two ahead of the European championship runners-up, Germany with Brazil at number four.
