The Fiji Sevashram Sangha is currently on day six of its flood relief work and in total they have distributed over 18 to 20 tonnes of groceries.

Assistant Secretary Akhilash Prasad said volunteers have already distributed rations at multiple settlements throughout the western division, and many of the victims have said that their families had to take refuge on the rooftops of their homes just to survive the flooding.

Prasad today said they will be targeting areas in Ba, which have been inaccessible by roads.
