Fiji, Scotland set for 6th meeting
The big question is can Fiji repeat their 1998 performance where the Flying Fijians beat Scotland 51-26 at a fully packed national stadium.
This match is still remembered by many die hard rugby fans where Joeli Veitayaki got a memorable try under the sticks and Fero Lasagavibau scored three tries.
The other four meetings have gone in Scotland’s favor where Fiji was beaten by the Scottish in 1989, 2002, 2003 and in 2009.
Fiji lost to Samoa over the weekend in the Pacific Nations Cup which has dampened the spirits but as far as Scotland is concerned, their memorable 9-6 win over Australia has given them a lot of confidence.
Scotland coach Andy Robinson said the Saturday test will be one to watch.
Fiji will play Scotland at 2pm this Saturday at Churchill Park and you can catch a live commentary of the match on our sister station Viti FM.
