The Fiji Football Association has pulled out of the FIFA Under 17 World Cup qualifying competition because of recent flood damages in the Western Division.
Chief Executive Bob Kumar said since the qualifying round games are in April, they won't be able to prepare a team on time.
Kumar said Fiji was also scheduled to host the event, but they told the Oceania Football Confederation that they won't be able to host it.
Meanwhile, the OFC has confirmed that the tournament has been moved to New Zealand and will take place from the 20th to the 24th of April this year.
Initially, seven entries were received for the OFC Under 17 Championship with New Zealand, New Caledonia, Tahiti and Vanuatu confirming their participation following the change of venue.
The competition will be played in a round robin format and the winner will represent OFC at the FIFA Under 17 World Cup 2009.
