The Fiji Ports Corporation remains mum on their internal investigations surrounding the disappearance of one million dollars from the Kings Wharf over the weekend.
Acting Chief Executive Officer, Waqa Bauleka this morning called a very brief meeting with the media where he stressed that to make any comments now, would be making assumptions.
He also added that investigations are still on-going and a comment would be made once everything has been completed.
Meanwhile, Police are interviewing people who knew about the 1 million dollars coming into the country for the Reserve Bank of Fiji on Friday night, following the revelation that the large amount of cash in new 20 dollar notes has gone missing.
Assistant Spokesperson, Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the people who were rostered over the weekend will be questioned as the container was cut open from the outside, and someone working at the Kings Wharf at the time would definitely know something about the heist.
Fijivillage has managed to establish that the 1 million dollars in new 20 dollar notes arrived from the UK late Friday.
It was discovered missing on Saturday night.
