A change made by the Fiji Police Force can now see police at the crime scene within minutes after the first report.
The Police Media Liaison Officer Atu Sokomuri said it’s just a matter of calling 919 or 917 and reporting the matter.
Sokomuri said they are hopeful this change will see a reduction in the crime rate in the country. He is also calling on the general public to assist police in keeping the crime rate down by calling them on 917 or 919 to report any criminal activity in their area.
