The Fiji Pearls took time off from training today and visited women patients at the CWM Hospital’s Lancaster Ward.
Captain Matila Waqanidrola said they have got a lot of inspiration from the patients who are fighting hard to get well soon.
Waqanidrola said they only found out today that the patients at the ward were cheering for them during the Digicel Tri Series Plus One Championship.
She said the players have been touched by this.
The Fiji Pearls will leave for the Cook Islands later this month in their attempt to qualify for the World Netball Championship to be held in Sydney next year.
