The Fiji Pearls side recorded one of their most memorable victories in the history of Fiji Netball with a 60-59 extra-time win over Northern Ireland.

The Pearls also won the Digicel Tri Series Plus One Championship.

Fiji was leading by three goals in the last five minutes of the last quarter but Northern Ireland came back and tied the game 51 all at full time.

It was a great game which saw the lead change a couple of times but it was the Pearls who stood out in the end.

Pearls Coach Julie Hornwegg said it was a terrible start but at half time they mapped out a plan.

She added it is an amazing win.

Captain Matila Waqanidrola said they did not want to let their fans down.

In another match last night the Papua New Guinea Pepes defeated Tonga 67-29.

Today the Pepes will play Tonga again at 4:35pm while the Pearls meet Northern Ireland at 7pm.
