"We are focusing more on our side rather than Malawi".

These are the words of Fiji Pearls skipper Ma-tila Waqanidrola ahead of their first netball test against the fifth ranked Malawi Queens tomorrow.

Waqanidrola said the opportunity to meet a top ranked team at home is a once in a lifetime opportunity .

The 31 year old for said they have to keep up with the Queens until the last second of the match.


Waqanidrola is also calling on the fans to come out in numbers and cheer them on as this is a golden opportunity to watch a top ranked team.

Malawi defeated Fiji 53 52 the last time they met which was in 2006 at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games.

The Pearls will play the Queens tomorrow at the Vodafone Arena at 3pm.
