The Fiji Pearls expects a similar style of play from Samoa compared to Cook Islands this afternoon in the Pacific Netball Series.

Pearls skipper Matila Waqanidrola said most of the Samoan players are based in New Zealand but they have a plan to counter them.

Waqanidrola believes they have improved their match fitness which resulted in their impressive 58-36 win over hosts Cook Islands in the Pacific Netball Series yesterday.

Speaking from Cook Islands to Fijivillage, Waqanidrola said they are fortunate to have played Cook Islands in the first match before they meet Samoa today.

Fiji Pearls Coach Julie Hornwegg is expected to field her best starting lineup which includes skipper Waqanidrola and Lusi Robanakadavu in defense, Vaiti Waqatabu, Teimumu Vukinavanua and Alesi Waqa in mid court with Maria Lutua and Afa Rusivakula in the shooting circle.

Fiji will play Samoa at 2:30pm today and the Pearls need to finish in the top two spots in the series to qualify for the World Championship in Australia next year.
