The Fiji Okinawa Karate Association team arrived back in the country last night with 4 Gold medals after visiting New Zealand to take part in the 2nd Oceania Goju- Ryu Karate Championship held in Auckland.
Team Fiji won a total of 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 12 Bronze medals during the two-day tournament.
Association Secretary, Amelia Rigsby said the association is very happy with what their athletes have brought back.
The Gold medals went to Sushil Chand in the Men's Kata, Vasemaca Tawakilai scooped Gold in the Women's Kata, Anil Chand took the Gold in the Mens Kumite and Shalendra Lal took the Gold in the Kyu Kumite.
