Fiji Netters to leave shores without Walker
It has been reported that it was Management's decision to drop Mere Rabuka from the team, however efforts to get a comment from team officials proved futile.
The old faces in the squad includes, flag bearer at the 2007 Pacific Games in Samoa, Matila Waqanidrola, Maria Bereso, Ana Erenavula, Lusiani Robanakadavu and Seruwaia Vonolagi.
The other duo who have not been able to make it include Taraima Rara, who has pulled out for personal reasons and Cecila Sorby due to studies.
The onus now will be on Coach Unaisi Rokoura to try and defend the Gold medal that was won in 2007, with then Coach Vilimaina Davu and Manager Venina Galuinadi.
The first lot of athletes to the 8th Pacific Mini Games leaves Fiji today for the Cook Islands with competition beginning next week.
