The Fiji men's hockey team faces a major setback ahead of the World League round 1 final against Papua New Guinea tomorrow as Captain Hector Smith Jnr is in doubt for the match.
Smith picked up an injury on his left ankle and had to be carried from the pitch against Vanuatu yesterday.
Coach Hector Smith Snr said that they will have to assess the injury today and there is a possibility of ruling him out of the final.
Fiji has already qualified for the World League round two in India but will take on Australian Country in the Oceania Pacific Cup final on Saturday at 3pm.
Meanwhile, the Fiji Women's team will play Samoa in their last pool match at 5pm today.
