Pacific Sun’s new ATR 72-600 aircraft will touch down at the Nausori Airport at 10am today.

The domestic and regional carrier will also be officially rebranded as ‘Fiji Link’ today.

Pacific Sun General Manager Shaenaz Voss said the brand new twin-engine turbo prop aircraft will have a seating capacity for 68 passengers, and will be used for the Nadi, Suva and Labasa routes.

Voss said it will also operate regionally to Samoa, Tonga and Funafuti.

Acting Prime Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum will officially welcome the new aircraft.

The formal launch will also be held with a gala event at Suva’s Grand Pacific Hotel this evening.
