The Fiji Law Society has dismissed the statement made by the Interim Prime Minister today that society members and Suva lawyer, Graham Leung only wanted public attention when they went to the Nadi airport yesterday.
Society Vice President, Tupou Draunidalo said they believe that it is unfair for Leung to be banned from travelling overseas and they will continue fighting for his rights.
Draunidalo said they are supporting Leung because he is a member of the Law Society and a former President.
Earlier today Commodore Frank Bainimarama said that Leung will be on the travel ban list for some time because he has been going overseas and misleading the international community about what is happening in Fiji.
He also said that Leung trying to catch a flight in Nadi yesterday morning was clearly a publicity stunt.
Leung has told Village News that he will take legal action against the interim government for barring him from leaving the country.
