Fiji Hockey coach Hector Smith believes the Fiji hockey men’s and women’s teams will have to be at their best if they are to win the Pacific Cup Hockey tournament.
Smith said the Australian Country looks to be the team to beat in both the Men's and Women's divisions after they finished at the top.
He said although the Fiji President’s XI and Fiji women’s teams have qualified for the semifinals, they will have to be mentally prepared.
The first semifinal today will start at 1:15pm between Australian Country and Canberra Cameos in the women’s division. Then Australian country plays the New Zealand Indians in the men’s division.
The Fiji women’s team will then take on the New Zealand Maori at 4pm while the Fiji President’s XI will meet the New Zealand Barbarians at 6pm at the National Hockey Turf in Laucala.
