The trophy for the Fiji Golf International was unveiled today which has been fully designed and crafted in Fiji.

The CEO of the PGA Australia Brian Thorburn who did the unveiling at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course said the trophy has a Fijian look with the coconut and a war club.

120 professional golfers will play in the championship including former World number one Vijay Singh, fellow major champion Nick Price and Japan Tour star Brendan Jones.

Thorburn adds the championship will be held in Fiji for the next four years.

The Fiji Golf International will be broadcast to 40 countries with a potential reach to 400 million homes around the World.

The winning golfer will walk away with 1 million US dollars. 

Round one will start at 6.30am this Thursday at the Natadola Bay Championship Golf Course and will continue till Sunday.
