The Vodafone Fiji FACT will now be played at Churchill Park in Lautoka in the first week of May.

In last night’s board meeting, the Fiji Football Association changed its earlier decision to host the tournament in Labasa.

Fiji FA President, Rajesh Patel said the decision has been taken in the best interest of all the stakeholders as it is not viable at this time to take a tournament to Labasa.

Patel said the Labasa soccer team has also not been performing well after the Courts IDC last year.

Patel added the Fiji FACT will be played for 90 minutes but they will review after the tournament whether the Inkk Mobile BOG will be played for 90 minutes or they will revert to 90 minutes.

Meanwhile, the GP Batteries Fiji Sun National Soccer League competition will start this week.

Rewa will host Lautoka in the feature match at 3pm this Sunday and you can catch the live commentary on our sister station, Radio Sargam.

The official opening of the National Soccer League will also be held at Ratu Cakobau Park before the match.
